Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Infrastructure Platforms to design and build resilient backend services and APIs in Java and Go.

You will drive automation across AaaS, Ansible Automation Platform, AutoM8, and AI-enabled service management, partnering with product, architecture, SRE, and AI/ML teams to improve reliability at scale. You will lead technical design and deliver enterprise-grade automation that supports Day 2 operations, workflow orchestration, and platform

Qualifications

• Advanced Java, Python and Go software engineering experience including backend services, APIs, distributed systems, automation platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Go idioms, concurrency patterns, testing and production service design.
• Experience with automation and orchestration technologies including Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, event-driven automation, workflow orchestration, REST APIs, gRPC, messaging, and resilient integration patterns.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of Java and Go-based services, APIs, automation tooling, and distributed platform capabilities across EPAS products such as AaaS, AAP, AutoM8, event-driven automation, and AI/ML-enabled service management.
• Execute software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to solve complex problems beyond routine approaches.
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
• Drive decisions influencing product design, application functionality, and operational processes.
