Job summary

JPMorgan Chase invites applications for a Lead Software Engineer in Infrastructure Platforms, Enterprise Production Automation Services (EPAS). You will design and implement resilient Java/Go backend services and APIs, and drive automation capabilities across AaaS, Ansible Automation Platform, AutoM8, and AI-enabled service management.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience in Java, Python and Go software engineering, including backend services, APIs, distributed systems.
• Experience with automation and orchestration technologies such as Ansible, Ansible Automation Platform, event-driven automation, REST/gRPC.
• Strong design and production service knowledge across SDLC, CI/CD, testing and operations.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting for complex problems.
• Leads design and development of Java and Go-based services, APIs, and automation tooling.
• Produces architecture artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met.
• Drives engineering initiatives across EPAS products such as AaaS, AAP, AutoM8 and AI-enabled service management.
• Advances hybrid cloud automation, mainframe automation and AI-driven automation use cases.
• Mentors teams on secure coding, code review, testing, and observability practices.
• Collaborates with product, architecture, SRE, AI/ML teams to translate automation needs into production-ready software.
• Fosters diversity, equity, inclusion and a respectful team culture.
