Software Engineer In Test - Innovus Clock Tree Synthesis Group

Cadence Design Systems is looking for a highly motivated Integration Test Engineer to work with the Digital Design and Signoff Group engineering team. You will be joining a small team responsible for innovating, designing, and developing key technology used within the Innovus product. The team is based in Cambridge, UK working within a global team.

Job Role

The role’s day to day responsibilities cover:

  1. Running (and checking) several test suites prior to promotion of R&D new code into the mainline code repository
  2. Working with R&D engineers to investigate and fix test failures due to new code
  3. Working with R&D engineers to curate R&D created unit tests
  4. Working with Product Validation engineers to investigate, disable and/or fix fragile tests
  5. Periodically building coverage build variant and publishing code coverage information
  6. Periodically making ASAN build variants and reporting any issues found
  7. Working to develop automation to automate these tasks
  8. Monitoring and maintenance of existing automation scripts

The role is a 25% FTE role, working 10 hours a week. It would be expected that this would constitute approximately 2 hours a day or less, ideally with flexibility when urgent issues arise. The successful applicant would be based in the Cambridge office. Once up to speed, the applicant would be expected to attend 2 meetings per week (one 1-1 with manager and 1 engineering team meeting) in person at the Cambridge office, but otherwise the role can be performed remotely.
