Job Description

Are you ready to take your software engineering career to the next level? Join JPMorgan Chase as a Software Engineer III within the Corporate Technology Engineering Platforms and Experience team. As a seasoned member of an agile team, you'll design and deliver market-leading technology products securely and scalably, supporting the firm's business objectives across multiple technical areas.

Job Responsibilities
  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, thinking beyond routine approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
  • Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets to continuously improve software applications and systems.
  • Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data, using insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
  • Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events exploring new and emerging technologies.
  • Add to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient applied experience.
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data, JDBC, ETL, OpenAPI Doc, WSDL, JUnit, Kubernetes, Splunk, Dynatrace.
  • Advanced in building REST API with Java, Oracle.
  • Experience in developing UI applications using React.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Responsibilities include mentoring junior team members to foster their professional growth and development.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Exposure to cloud technologies (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform) and Workflow technologies (Camunda).
