As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Banking's Markets Tech team, you will lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and best practices.

Job responsibilities

• Provide guidance to your team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
• Set overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
• Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications aligned with business requirements.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and ensure the team’s work complies with standards, SLAs, and business needs.
• Create a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect, prioritizing diverse representation.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and advanced experience.
• Hands-on experience with Golang / Java or React / Typescript.
• Experience leading technology projects.
• Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
• Knowledge of all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems.
• Practical cloud-native experience with Terraform.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Full Stack experience is preferred.
• Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields, with expertise in technology disciplines.
