Job description

You might have seen some of Kraken Field in the office, but what do we actually do? We work with engineers in the field or in people's homes.

Kraken Field is building a standalone product. This means it could be sold independently of Kraken customers, but currently, we market it to clients with Kraken customers. We are working with Octopus Energy Services and their low carbon tech engineers to provide an exceptional client experience.

Our goal is to make converting homes to green energy as simple as possible by building a platform that enables engineers to install smart meters, solar panels, heat pumps, EV chargers, and more.

We are actively launching in new territories, collaborating with more engineers and tech partners, developing exciting new features at scale, and creating integrated solutions to retrofit homes worldwide — all to make going green easier and more affordable for customers.

What you'll have:

• Kraken Field consists of multifunctional, multinational squads comprising product, backend, design, mobile, and web teams working together on different aspects of Kraken Field.
• We are looking for individuals interested in becoming a Frontend Lead. Our team is expanding, and we need a second frontend lead. We seek someone eager to grow into this role, initially line managing 2-3 developers. Line management will be part of the role, but you should also be able to code and develop Kraken Field.
• Someone who wants to help other developers grow through line management.
• Someone seeking a balance between leading and coding on the product.
• Applicants should have experience at least as a Senior SE2 frontend developer.

Handy, but not essential:

• Experience mentoring other developers.
• Participation in or completion of our Leadership Development programme or a similar programme.
