As a DevOps Engineer in the Cloud Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for managing the core of Nutmeg's technical infrastructure. Operating within the Platform function alongside Security, Architecture, and Developer Experience teams, you'll be heavily involved with designing, building, and operating a platform running in Kubernetes on AWS.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Build and maintain a Kubernetes on AWS platform used by 150+ engineers.
  2. Promote best practices and principles across the engineering teams.
  3. Standardize deployment and usage of cloud resources to facilitate technology adoption and security compliance.
  4. Collaborate with stakeholders, such as security teams, to understand platform requirements.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • 5+ years of professional experience.
  • Proven track record in automation, deployment, and delivery environments.
  • Experience managing infrastructure on cloud platforms like AWS and GCP, understanding their failure modes, and network fundamentals.
  • Expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters in production.
  • Strong coding skills (Go/Python preferred).
  • Excellent knowledge of observability tools and best practices.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deliver solutions.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience with systems and databases, especially in distributed/microservice environments.
  • Knowledge of scalable technologies such as Kafka.
  • A passion for learning and experimenting with new technologies.
