Join the Runtime Compute team!

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB), you will be part of the CIB Runtime Compute Team in CIB Cloud Success. In this agile environment, you will collaborate with stakeholders and customers across the bank, working alongside Infrastructure Platforms technology partners and Cybersecurity & Technology Controls. Your focus will be on enhancing, developing, and delivering firm-wide cloud runtime compute products and features, playing a key role in reducing costs, improving reliability, and advancing strategies.

Job Responsibilities

• Cloud Runtime Compute Engineering: Develop and engineer cloud runtime compute products with a security-first approach, ensuring compliance with security policies using technologies like Terraform, Rego, Sentinel, GoLang, Python, etc.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineers, architects, security teams, and application teams to design solutions and drive adoption.
• Teamwork and Support: Participate actively in team activities, communicate effectively, and support colleagues to achieve project goals.
• Documentation: Maintain user guides, architecture records, and other essential documentation.
• Cultural Contribution: Foster a team environment that values diversity, equity, and respect.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification in Computer Science and advanced experience in the field.
• Practical cloud experience, especially owning and operating complex containerized solutions like AWS EKS.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and maintaining operational stability using agile practices.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages.

Additional Qualifications

• Experience navigating complex organizational structures, especially within JPMorgan Chase and CIB.
• Experience as an Application Owner at JPMorgan is highly valued.
• Familiarity with JPMorgan Chase's security policies or willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of networking, routing, and cloud permissions, especially in containerized environments.
• Interest or certification in Kubernetes, such as CKAD.
