Job Title: Lead Software Engineer, Individual Contributor - (C#/.Net) – Tax & Legal Technology

What will you be doing?

In this role you will be a lead individual contributor across a variety of projects for both our clients and our internal professionals. You will be responsible for working with the business to understand their requirements and then playing a lead hands on role in the architectural design, tool selection and development of solutions. You will work alongside a Development Team Leads and Product Owners who will to help prioritise deliverables allowing you to focus on creating world-class solutions.

What will you need to do it?

  • Be a subject matter expert in full stack engineering using C#, ASP.Net Core 8, Rest API's, microservices and React, Blazor or Angular2 frameworks.
  • Demonstrable experience leading the design and development of distributed systems and secure products at scale.
  • Have a solid understanding of design practices, system architecture, application security and conducting code reviews.
  • Experience building applications for the cloud such as Azure (pref.), AWS or GCP
  • Know how to build REST APIs and have experience of messaging
  • Worked with defining data models and interacting with databases
  • Built software that includes user facing web applications.

Skills we’d love to see/Amazing Extras:

  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or other serverless application delivery platforms
  • Used GIT, Jenkins, GitHub or Azure DevOps
  • Worked Generative AI and large language models such as Azure AI Services or Chat GPT.
  • Used Entity Framework or other popular ORM tools
  • Used NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB, Mongo or Cassandra,

Our Locations:

This position will be based from our Glasgow offices, with 2 days per week in the office
