Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a 12-month contract in New Malden, near London. You will lead activities to develop and commission software engineering work products and artefacts, contributing across the software life cycle.

The role requires deep technical software engineering knowledge and hands-on coding in Ada, C++, and C#. You will ensure design artefacts are maintained and documented throughout releases.

Qualifications

• Deep technical software engineering knowledge across multiple projects to design and deliver robust solutions.
• Experience leading teams and reporting on costs (desirable).
• Background in software product development and/or delivery in large, multi-project environments.
• Proficiency in Ada, C++, and C# programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to team members, offering oversight for software components or small subsystems to ensure quality.
• Define and capture the design of software components to meet requirements and maintain design artefacts across changes.
• Review and analyse software work products to ensure robustness and efficiency.
