Symphony Communication Services in Belfast is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to own design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful projects end-to-end.

The role involves driving architectural decisions, ensuring secure, scalable systems, and maintaining compliance with data protection standards.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven expertise in Java programming with strong architectural and system design skills.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, React, Angular, Node.js.
• Strong understanding of SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Cloud services architecture and deployment (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Proficient with version control and collaborative development tools (GitHub, GitLab).
• Familiarity with Agile development and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable software applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers.
• Collaborate with product, design, and stakeholders to define requirements.
