Job summary

JPMorganChase, within Markets Technology, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to contribute across multiple tech areas and deliver trusted, scalable products. You will work on AEM-based components, front-end interfaces, and production code in a fast, secure enterprise setting.

You will lead design reviews, mentor engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive architectural decisions and ensure operational stability.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development and implementation.
• Strong foundation in front-end web development (HTML5, CSS3, SASS).
• Proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+); jQuery and/or TypeScript.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement AEM components, templates, and workflows for enterprise sites.
• Build UIs using AEM and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Translate Figma wireframes into web interfaces with HTML, JS and CSS.
• Develop secure production code and review peers' code.
• Identify opportunities to automate remediation and improve stability.
• Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture.

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within Markets Technology, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and implement components, templates, and workflows in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) for high-traffic, enterprise-level websites.
• Build user interfaces using AEM and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Work from Figma wireframes and functional requirements to create web interfaces with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture.
• Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies.
• Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Proven experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development and implementation.
• Strong foundation in front-end web development.
• In-depth knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3 (required); SASS.
• Extensive experience with JavaScript (ES6+ required); JQuery and/or TypeScript.
• Experience with AEM architecture, components, templates, and workflows.
• Proficiency in RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Proven Leadership skill for maintaining Technical team and deliveries.
• Strong engineering culture for day to day tasks and breaking down product requirements.
• Experience with building Agentic AI system and knowledge base.
