Job summary

Applied Data Science Partners Ltd. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive client project delivery from concept to deployment. You will mentor teams, shape technical strategy, and build scalable data engineering and AI-enabled solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with stakeholders and delivering high-quality software across multiple projects. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership with hands-on technical excellence in Python, SQL, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex software projects from design to deployment.
• Code reviews in Python and SQL via Git with best practices.
• Experience with SQL databases and a cloud development platform.
• Led design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions.
• Built data pipelines, backend services and APIs.
• Strong understanding of OOP, concurrency and Python concepts.
• Experience deploying on cloud (AWS/Azure) and Linux scripting.
• Advanced Docker skills and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub actions).
• Proven ability to manage delivery teams and stakeholder expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, testing, and evaluation of complex software for multiple client projects.
• Build strong client relationships and lead project-focused interactions.
• Oversee high-quality code delivery and project outcomes.
• Develop data extraction, cleaning, and transformation pipelines (SQL/Python).
• Build AI systems using Large Language Models where applicable.
• Mentor engineers and manage delivery teams.
• Proactively drive technical strategy and best practices across projects.
