The Opportunity

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead a UK and India-based development team, ensuring high-quality delivery and adherence to timelines. We have secured an exciting new project and have ambitious plans to expand our platform to serve more clients across Europe and beyond.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Report to the Business Unit Director, leading the Software Engineering team within the Retail & Hospitality sector.
  • Manage a growing delivery team, ensuring effective resource utilization and team development.
  • Implement and promote Agile practices within the team.
  • Ensure team members are trained and supported in their roles and career development.
  • Coordinate with the Product Manager and PPM to plan and deliver releases on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Work with the CTO Group to align solutions with the technical strategy.
  • Develop plans to address resource variations and support effective delivery across international boundaries and time zones.
  • Occasional travel to the West Midlands and other UK locations for project coordination.
