They are an award-winning supplier to renowned defence clients and seek a Lead Software Engineer with experience in Aerospace, Military, or Automotive environments, and some knowledge of digital hardware design and interfacing.

The Role

As the Lead Software Engineer, you will manage software development projects through the full lifecycle, from concept to certification.

You will report on design status, technical issues, schedule, and costs to management and project teams.

Your responsibilities include reviewing software design processes for improvements and supporting other engineers in documentation and source code maintenance.

What We're Looking For

• A degree in Software Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in full lifecycle software development in industries like Aerospace, Defence, or Automotive, with knowledge of digital hardware design and interfacing.
• Proficiency in Embedded C and MISRA C for safety-critical applications.
• Knowledge of verification and debugging, including test scripts and low-level testing.
• Experience with 8 and 16-bit microprocessors/microcontrollers, including PIC18 and DSPIC.
• Ability to document in accordance with standards like DO-178C.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
