Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Control Systems Lead Software Engineer in the UK. The role involves leading a team through the full project lifecycle and delivering software design, development and implementation for DCS/PLC/SCADA based control systems.

The candidate will require strong technical leadership with proven PCS7/Neo experience and familiarity with additional controller technologies and SCADA packages. Hybrid work options are available, with sites in Glasgow or Stone.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Siemens PCS7/Neo Automation Stations and OS including: Advanced Process Library (APL), Control Module Types (CMT), Sequential Function Charts (SFC).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience using at least one of the following additional controller technologies: Rockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix utilising Studio 5000.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience using at least one of the following additional SCADA applications: Rockwell FactoryTalk View SE, ArchestrA System Platform, Other equivalent SCADA package.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience of producing Design Specifications, writing IEC61131 code, and performing Factory Acceptance Tests.

Hours of work: Up to 40 hours per week

• We are looking for enthusiastic & experienced engineers to join our existing Energy team to perform all aspects software design, development and implementation for DCS or PLC/SCADA based control systems
• You will lead the team through all aspects of a project lifecycle. Candidates must demonstrate strong technical leadership and proven experience with PCS7/Neo and at least one other technology.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience using Siemens PCS7/Neo Automation Stations and OS including:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience using at least one of the following additional controller technologies:

  • Technical Checking & Reviewing of Engineering produced by others.
  • Demonstrated ability to Support the development of less experienced team members through coaching and knowledge sharing.
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle working to QA procedures
