Lead Software Engineer – Guidewire
Role responsibilities:
  • Set technical direction and influence multiple teams to improve engineering practices and skill sets.
  • Align work with business and engineering priorities to achieve meaningful impact.
  • Build, maintain, and utilize partnerships to optimize resource use.
  • Oversee complex analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for high-visibility tasks.
  • Apply industry trends and techniques to solve software engineering problems.
  • Lead a team through performance management, technical feedback, coaching, and mentorship.
  • Demonstrate extensive programming experience and strong technical leadership.
  • Ensure high-quality software design and effective collaboration across teams.
  • Consult on business priorities, identify solutions, and introduce relevant industry concepts and technologies.
  • Design robust architecture and proactively address future needs.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and document effectively.
  • Lead and develop engineering talent, sharing knowledge and creating growth opportunities.
Skills required:
