Lead Software Engineer – Guidewire

Role responsibilities:

• Set technical direction and influence multiple teams to improve engineering practices and skills.
• Align work with business and engineering priorities to achieve meaningful impact.
• Build and maintain partnerships to optimize resource use.
• Oversee analysis, design, development, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for high-visibility tasks.
• Apply industry trends and techniques to solve software engineering problems.
• Lead a team through performance management, feedback, coaching, and mentorship, ensuring standards and protocols are followed.
• Extensive programming experience and strong technical leadership.
• Deliver high-quality software, assess design strategies, and ensure system quality.
• Consult on business priorities, identify solutions, and introduce industry concepts and technologies.
• Design robust architecture to prevent single points of failure and plan for future needs.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, document clearly, and foster collaborative communication.
