Job summary

Eddyfi Technologies is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Team Lead for our IoT platform to lead delivery, quality and day-to-day running of the engineering team. You will translate product needs into technical solutions and oversee governance, CI/CD and agile practices.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with product, support and QA, and drive incident management, root-cause analysis and documentation to ensure reliable, scalable remote-monitoring solutions for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering leadership experience in IoT or connected platforms.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product and QA.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum; Scrum Master role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software team’s delivery, quality and daily operations for an IoT remote-monitoring platform.
• Translate product and business requirements into technical solutions.
• Own codebase governance: branching strategy, repository health, code reviews and PR management.
• Drive engineering excellence through CI/CD improvements, release coordination and best practices.
• Plan work effectively by breaking down scope, estimating effort and managing team capacity.
• Run Agile ceremonies, act as Scrum Master and track tasks in project tools.
• Mentor engineers and support their technical growth and day-to-day execution.
• Partner with product and stakeholders to review requirements and report progress.
• Oversee validation activities including UAT and end-to-end testing across a complex IoT ecosystem.
• Act as escalation point for support cases and incidents.
• Triage, investigate and prioritise issues; coordinate corrective actions with QA and quality teams.
• Lead root-cause analysis and produce technical documentation for major issues.
• Manage people responsibilities including performance, goals, attendance and onboarding.

As Software Engineering Team Lead — IoT Platform, you must be able to:

• Act as the main escalation point for support cases, incidents and customer-impacting issues.
• Triage, investigate and prioritise issues, including NCRs, and coordinate corrective actions with QA and quality teams.
• Lead root-cause analysis and produce clear technical documentation for major issues and follow-up actions.
• Manage people responsibilities including performance, goals, attendance, expenses and external consultants.
• Support team growth through hiring, interviewing and onboarding new team members.

What makes you an asset to our team

• Proven software engineering background with experience as a Tech Lead, Team Lead or Senior Software Engineer.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, support and quality teams.
• Strong knowledge of Git branching workflows, code review practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery; Scrum Master experience or certification is considered an asset.
• Ability to analyse BRDs/PRDs and translate them into clear technical designs.
• Experience in people management, or demonstrated readiness to take on line-management responsibilities.
• Experience with third-line support, incident management and issue escalation.
• Strong stakeholder-management skills across cross-functional teams and external consultants.
• Experience working in complex software environments, ideally involving IoT, remote monitoring or connected platforms.
• A proactive, organised and solutions-focused leadership approach.
