Lead Engineer .NET 8 | Up to £90,000 DOE + Benefits | Manchester (Hybrid, 1x Week Onsite)

**Greenfield Project**

Were looking for a Lead Engineer to drive the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud-native applications using .NET 8 and AWS. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a microservices-driven environment, enjoys mentoring teams, and stays hands-on with development.

Location: Manchester (Hybrid 1x per week onsite)

Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £90,000 DOE + benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a development team, ensuring best practices and technical excellence
• Architect and build cloud-native applications using .NET 8, AWS, Docker, and Terraform
• Promote and implement CI/CD, TDD, and DevOps methodologies to streamline deployments
• Collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and stakeholders to shape technical strategy
• Solve complex engineering challenges to enhance performance, resilience, and maintainability
  
  

Technical Stack:

• Backend: .NET 8, AWS Lambda, ECS, EKS
• Databases: SQL/NoSQL (DynamoDB, Aurora, DocumentDB MongoDB experience a bonus)
• Event-Driven Systems: Kafka, AWS MSK, EventBridge, SNS/SQS
• DevOps & Infrastructure: Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker
• Frontend: React

• Proven experience leading development teams in an agile environment
• Hands-on expertise in .NET 8, AWS, SQL/NoSQL databases, and microservices
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, containerisation, and DevOps tooling
