Lead Software Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Software Engineer to join our Search and Analytics team in Barcelona/Spain.

About You – Experience, Education, Skills, and Accomplishments:

1. At least 5 years’ experience with Java development
2. 2+ years of data analytical experience with large volume data processing and data modeling in a distributed environment.
3. Proficient in Java, Python, Perl/Scripting languages
4. Experienced with cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
5. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant disciplines.

It would be great if you also had:

1. Experience with Search Engines like OpenSearch/ElasticSearch/Solr/Lucene.
2. Master’s degree in Computer Science.
3. Data Science training and knowledge with vector space models, text classification, and categorization.
4. Domain knowledge in Literature and Patent content and searches.

What will you be doing in this role?

1. Design and implementation of enterprise search applications and infrastructure with AI and Search technologies.
2. Collaboration with Data Scientists to optimize search algorithms and platforms.
3. Development of advanced search and analytics features for enhancing user experience.
4. Engaging in the entire Lifecycle of Innovation, especially during research and discovery phases.

You will contribute to our world-class leading research and discovery web platform, designed to enhance the productivity of innovators worldwide. This platform integrates AI, Machine Learning, and NLP to offer unique search capabilities, content classification, and recommendation systems, supporting our users in their quest for knowledge and innovation.

We are responsible for delivering best-in-class algorithmic services and search platforms. Our team is at the forefront of innovation, continually exploring and implementing advanced technologies to solve complex problems. Hours of Work:

This is a permanent, full-time position, working on a Hybrid model (2-3 times per week) from our Barcelona office.
