Job summary

SoCode Limited is partnering with an organisation that provides software solutions to police forces and local authorities to enforce and track traffic and parking offences, manage permits and licences, and control high-risk assets. Located in Banbury with a hybrid working model, the role may require occasional travel to London.

You’ll help define and maintain testing standards, write and maintain code, contribute to code reviews, and help set the standard for high-quality engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on coding skills in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
• Experience writing automated tests.
• Experience building and running CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience delivering high-quality software.
• Experience working with complex legacy applications.
• Willingness to challenge existing approaches and contribute ideas.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing activities within your engineering team.
• Contribute directly to the software codebase.
• Design, write and maintain automated tests.
• Help define and maintain testing standards and approaches.
• Contribute to code reviews and promote high engineering standards.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute to CI/CD and release processes.
• Work with complex and sometimes confusing legacy applications.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality software.
• Bring your own ideas and opinions around how software should be tested and how quality can be maintained.
