Quantum in the United Kingdom is seeking a senior Quality Engineer to lead testing across two product teams, iGaming and Rewards. You will build and own the automation framework, write framework code, and coach engineers to take ownership of quality in their work.
The role focuses on test strategy, end-to-end coverage, and integrating tests into fast, reliable CI processes as the platform evolves.
At Quantum, we connect global brands with high-intent consumers. We turn intent into action and complexity into clarity.
Our Mission is clear, to help smarter, faster buying decisions. Our vision, to be the world's most used digital comparison service, delivering value and simplicity to millions.
We drive growth through data-driven affiliate marketing built for performance from day one. Every campaign is measurable, optimised in real time, and designed to scale.
With in-house tech, full-stack analytics, and a compliance-first mindset, we give our partners an edge. We drive confident decisions and growth in regulated and high-growth sectors. We've helped ambitious brands grow faster, smarter, and globally.
Our in-house engineering team builds and runs every product we operate. We work in two product teams, iGaming and Rewards, supported by platform and infrastructure engineers. We are partway through building a new version of our platform, which makes this the right moment to put quality engineering at the heart of how we deliver. You will lead quality engineering across both product teams. You will guide how we test, build the frameworks and pipelines that make testing fast, and help every engineer take ownership of the quality of their own work. This is a hands-on technical role. Early on you will write a lot of the framework code yourself. Over time your influence will come through the tooling you build and the engineers you coach.
Strong coding skills in TypeScript or JavaScript, with test code written to the same standard as production code.
Deep experience with a modern browser automation framework. Playwright is ideal; Cypress experience transfers well (we're in the process of migrating from Cypress to Playwright).
A track record of designing test strategy across the full testing pyramid for web products and APIs, including judging where automation earns its keep.
Experience running automated tests in CI (GitHub Actions ideally) with Docker, and fixing pipelines that are slow or unreliable.
Evidence of raising quality through other people, whether by coaching developers, setting standards or leading a quality practice.
You explain quality trade-offs to product managers and business stakeholders in plain terms.
You will hold a release back when the evidence says it is not ready, and then help the team find a safe way to ship.
You write things down: strategies, decisions and guides other engineers can pick up and follow.
You are comfortable shaping a practice from an early stage, where you will need to decide what matters most first.
Our hiring process ensures we're recruiting the right people for the role. We ensure that people are as suitable for us as we are for them.
