Job description

Overview

This leading tech company specialises in integrated software and hardware systems for high-speed data processing, cyber security and radio communications. They are looking for a lead software engineer to join their team to provide expert C and C++ knowledge as well as be a mentor and leader for other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert C and C++ knowledge and lead software engineering efforts.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, promoting best practices in software design and development.
• Collaborate with software engineers, physicists, electronics engineers and hardware engineers across disciplines.
• Participate in cross-discipline communication and be willing to learn outside your area of expertise, including potential work on a web-based GUI or embedded coding.

Qualifications

• 1st or 2:1 in a numerate subject from a top (think Russell Group) university with top marks at A Level.
• Strong commercial experience in C and C++ related to data processing or network security.
• Good all-round software development skills and a keen appreciation for clear and efficient software design.
