You should possess the necessary technical skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and junior team members.

The candidate will be responsible for:

1. Developing software for network security applications;
2. Creating novel signal, image, or data processing applications in C/C++;
3. Providing support and training to customers in using the software;
4. Mentoring and leading team members.

A typical candidate will:

1. Have 3 or more years of software development experience, preferably in C/C++;
2. Have used source control systems such as Subversion;
3. Developed and maintained complex real-world systems;
4. Understand the importance of clear, efficient software design;
5. Be familiar with using and configuring Linux systems;
6. Be self-motivated and capable of working independently;
7. Possess a good (1st/2.1) degree or a PhD in a numerate discipline;
8. Have a strong academic background, typically including A's in A-level Maths and Physics;
9. Have strong verbal and written presentation skills.
