Job summary

NATS is seeking a Software Assurance professional to support the delivery and governance of change into service. You will ensure evidence is robust to demonstrate safety and regulatory compliance, coordinating with design authorities, safety managers and project teams across the organisation.

The role involves planning audits, developing assurance arguments, and liaising with suppliers to ensure capability aligns with NSSAS standards while maintaining a strong safety culture throughout the

Qualifications

• Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) preferably in STEM or related discipline.
• Knowledge of safety-related systems and ATC operations or equivalent experience in safety-critical systems.
• Familiarity with NATS Safety Management System and NSSAS.
• Experience constructing assurance arguments and SASRs or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of software assurance activities for changes into service.
• Produce and audit Software Assurance Plans and Reports to collate evidence for Change Assurance.
• Identify and mitigate software development issues impacting operational software performance or assurance.
• Provide expert software assurance direction to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Plan and execute audits against NSSAS guidance across development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with service design, engineering, and safety teams to satisfy safety requirements.
