Job summary

Lancashire County Council seeks an experienced Team Manager for the Duty and Assessment Service in East Lancashire. You will lead a team of 5–6 Social Workers, oversee initial Child and Family Assessments, manage risk, and ensure timely, high-quality interventions for children and families.

This is a permanent 37-hour post with a competitive salary. Applicants must be registered with Social Work England or have applied for registration; a DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Registered with Social Work England or have applied for registration.
• Experience leading Duty and Assessment teams.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with families and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a team of 5–6 Social Workers within the Duty and Assessment Service.
• Oversee initial Child and Family Assessments, identifying needs and managing risk.
• Ensure timely, high-quality interventions for children and families.
• Develop partnerships with colleagues, children, families and partner agencies.
