Job summary

Murphy is a leading international engineering and construction company recruiting for an on-site Senior Site Manager to lead execution of major substations projects in the UK. You will coordinate resources, manage multiple workstreams, and ensure timely delivery within budget while upholding safety and quality standards.

The role requires CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS, SR163, and a full UK driving licence, with strong communication and collaboration skills and a willingness to travel and stay away from home.

Qualifications

• Experience on major projects, including substations.
• CSCS and SSSTS/SMSTS required.
• SR163 holder.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proficiency with engineering software and MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Manage on-site resources including plant, machinery, and materials to optimise productivity and project efficiency.
• Oversee multiple workstreams across Earthwork, Drainage & Civil operations, applying best practices and ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to meet project timelines.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
• Conduct site briefings and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Maintain Murphy project quality controls and deliver high-spec work from start to finish.
