Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and a rich feature set for our users.

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working closely with the Software Engineering team and the Head of Engineering to manage the SRE function, develop solutions, and enhance user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead our strategy on software security, performance, and scalability across cloud infrastructure, with significant autonomy to shape the team’s future using your expertise in:

• Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
• API development and deployment in containerized environments like Kubernetes
• Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
• Collaborating in an agile environment with business stakeholders
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• AWS services, especially IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• CloudFormation and CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
