Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) empower users with high availability, stellar performance, and rich features.

About the role:

This is a hands-on role within the Software Engineering team. You will manage the SRE function daily, working closely with the Head of Engineering and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and positive user experiences.

You will review, lead, and drive our strategy for the maturity, security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to shape the team’s future, leveraging your expertise in:

• Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
• Development and deployment of APIs using containerized environments like Kubernetes
• Implementing/enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
• Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• CloudFormation/CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
