Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working closely with the Software Engineering team and the Head of Engineering to manage the SRE function. You will review, lead, and drive our strategic approach to the security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure. You will have significant autonomy to shape the team’s future using your expertise in:

• Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
• Development and deployment of APIs in containerized environments like Kubernetes
• Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), specifically Terraform
• Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• Working with AWS services such as IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• Using CloudFormation and CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
