Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day in every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working within the Software Engineering team to manage the SRE function daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

The successful candidate will lead and shape our approach to the security, performance, scalability, and maturity of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, enjoying a high degree of autonomy based on extensive experience in:

  • Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Platform management
  • API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
  • Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code, specifically Terraform
  • Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
  • Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
  • AWS services, especially IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
  • CloudFormation and CDK
  • Working with serverless computing
