Lead Site Reliability Engineer

Location: Remote working with 1 day every 2 weeks at our Stoke-On-Trent office (5 mins from station).

Our site reliability engineers (SREs) ensure high availability, stellar performance, and feature-rich experiences for our users.

About the role:

This hands-on role involves working with the Software Engineering team to manage the SRE functions daily, collaborating with the Head of Engineering and cross-functional teams to develop solutions and enhance user experiences.

You will review, lead, and shape our approach to security, performance, and scalability of our software and services across cloud infrastructure, with significant autonomy to influence the team’s future direction, leveraging your expertise in:

• Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps/Infrastructure/Platform management
• API development and deployment using containerized environments like Kubernetes
• Implementing and enhancing Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform
• Collaborating with stakeholders in an agile environment
• Leading, coaching, and mentoring team members
• AWS services, especially IAM, S3, EKS, Networking
• CloudFormation and CDK
• Experience with serverless computing
