Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Site Agent or Sub Agent for a leading infrastructure contractor delivering civil engineering projects across the Midlands. You will manage site operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, ensuring works meet programme, budget and quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong civil engineering background, experience with RAMS, ITPs and health and safety, and the ability to read drawings and manage site documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Agent or Sub Agent with civil/infrastructure background.
• Strong civil engineering/construction background.
• Understanding of site management, sequencing and project delivery.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Knowledge of RAMS, ITPs, health and safety procedures and quality assurance.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and manage site documentation.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant construction or civil engineering qualifications, or equivalent industry experience.
• Proactive approach with ownership of site activities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day site operations across civil engineering projects.
• Support delivery of works in line with programme, budget and project specifications.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors and engineering personnel.
• Ensure all works meet health and safety requirements, RAMS and environmental standards.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate site engineering activities, inspections, QA and as-built documentation.
• Interpret drawings, specifications and construction information.
• Manage site records, permits, temporary works and quality documentation.
• Liaise with Project Manager, commercial team, client representatives and stakeholders.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and environmental compliance.
