Overview

Is health education and prevention your passion? Are you able to support patients with their sexual health needs? Do you have experience of managing a team? Then look no further as an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sexual Health Advisor - Team Lead within Sexual Health South West London. This is a part time position (15 hours per week) on a fixed term 10 month contract to cover a career break (ending August 2026).

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced sexual health advice, information, education, and counselling to patients diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections including HIV, providing effective partner notification for STIs and HIV to fulfil a public health role by encouraging the attendance and treatment of the contacts of patients.
  • Work as an autonomous practitioner, support and manage a small health advising team, offer counselling support and behavioural change interventions which include risk assessment and complex case management of patients.
