What's involved with this role:

JOB TITLE: Lead Service Designer

Pay rate: £213.62 per day PAYE
Working Arrangement: Predominantly Remote with some travel to offices in Cardiff.

The role:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Service Designer to support the delivery of key GP service projects and activities. You will play a pivotal role in shaping user-centred design approaches within a complex health and care landscape.

You will lead on research and service design activities, influence senior stakeholders, and coach teams to adopt best practices in user research and agile service development.

Mainly remote working. Good chance of project extension for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and develop other user researchers to improve research practice.
• Coach, train, and mentor others, providing guidance on tools and methods.
• Responsible for delivering a core training programme on specialist research processes across the wider directorate, programmes, and services.
• Act as a recognised expert and advocate for user research and service design approaches, continuously reflecting and challenging the team.
• Effectively secure buy-in from the organisation.

What the client is looking for:

• Educated to Masters level or equivalent qualification/experience.
• Practical experience at this level across various work procedures and practices.
• FEDIP Senior Practitioner or equivalent advanced qualification is desirable.
• Proven experience as a senior user researcher or service designer.
• Strong understanding of digital technologies and Agile delivery.
• Experience with a broad range of user research methodologies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CXA - Certified User Experience Analyst is desirable.
• Information acquisition skills to understand problems and devise solutions.
• Agility skills to adapt style and approach for different audiences.
