We are looking for Lead Service Designers to join our team in DWP's Working Age Services where you will help design, build and iterate high-quality services - including Universal Credit - that enable working-aged people to access the support they need.

As a Lead Service Designer, you'll shape the future of Universal Credit by aligning emerging policy and business strategy with the needs of our users.
You will be working closely with Lead Product Managers and the Product Strategy team, you'll help evolve the service to better support millions of users.
You'll champion collaboration across digital, policy, legal and other teams, ensuring services are designed with people at the heart.
As well an expert Service Designer, you'll need be a confident facilitator and expert practitioner, advocating for user-centred design and driving improvements that deliver real and positive outcomes.

Location: You'll join us in one of our brilliant digital hubs in Leeds, London or Manchester, whichever is most convenient for you.
Hybrid Working: We work a hybrid model - you'll spend some time working at home and sometime collaborating face to face in a hub.
Pay: We offer pay of up to £77,740 (national) / £83,957 (London).
Pension: You'll get a brilliant civil service pension with employer contributions worth 28.97%, worth up to £16,094 per year.
Holidays: A generous leave package starting at 26 days and rising to 31 days over time.
You can also take up to 3 extra days off a month on flexi-time. You'll also get all the usual public holidays.
