Job summary

Lancashire County Council's Inclusion Service is seeking a Senior SEND EHCP Officer to lead complex EHCP work and support colleagues in delivering timely, high‑quality, person‑centred support for children and young people aged 0–25.

You will chair reviews, contribute to tribunal preparation and ensure statutory timescales are met, while providing mentoring, technical training and cross‑agency collaboration to improve practice across the service.

Qualifications

• Experience with SEND legislation and the Children and Families Act 2014.
• Ability to produce clear, detailed EHCPs and reports.
• Experience mentoring colleagues and delivering training.

Responsibilities

• Lead and chair EHCP reviews and oversee the full EHC process.
• Support tribunal preparation, mediation and panel decisions.
• Provide guidance and technical support to SEND EHCP Officers.
• Deliver training and drive service-wide improvements.
