Job summary

Securitas Technology UK is seeking a proactive Commissioning Engineer to lead the commissioning phase of security installations within the Installation Department. The role covers the North East, North West England and Scotland, requiring hands-on leadership on complex systems and strong customer focus.

You will coordinate with PMs and engineers, mentor the team, ensure NSI standards, and drive safe, compliant handovers to Operations.

Qualifications

Technical experience with high-end integrated security systems across CCTV, Access, Intruder, and Fire & Communications.
Proactive, able to work solo and think on your feet.
Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
8+ years’ experience installing/commissioning security products.
Strong commercial focus to deliver projects on budget, on time, and to quality standards.
Experience in project delivery and planning to anticipate requirements and mitigate risk.
Solid knowledge of IP technology and networks.
Problem solving complex electronic security installations.
Good communication skills and exceptional time management and planning skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct all commissioning activities for projects and manage site staff.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to integrate commissioning into the project timeline.
Mentor and guide commissioning team members and promote continuous improvement.
Interface with Project Managers, Field Engineering, and Installation Engineers to provide expert commissioning advice.
Oversee testing, validation, and documentation of all systems and equipment.
