Job summary

iO Associates is seeking a high-impact Security professional to drive security strategy in a cloud-first, AI-enabled environment. You will own key security initiatives across cloud, identity, and data, shaping resilience and tooling.

With 5+ years in security engineering/architecture, you’ll lead Zero Trust, IAM, and vulnerability programs, while influencing product and engineering teams in a hybrid London setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Security Engineering or Security Architecture.
• Hands-on security across cloud environments (AWS/GCP) and IAM.
• Experience with SIEM, Zero Trust and vulnerability management.
• Ability to design and deliver security improvements, not just run existing controls.
• Comfortable influencing stakeholders and working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security controls across cloud, identity, endpoint, and data.
• Drive Zero Trust, IAM, vulnerability management, and detection engineering initiatives.
• Improve security visibility, automation, and cyber resilience across the business.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and IT to embed security in day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementing security controls across cloud, identity, endpoint and data.
• Driving Zero Trust, IAM, vulnerability management and detection engineering initiatives.
• Improving security visibility, automation and cyber resilience across the business.
• Partnering with Engineering, Product and IT teams to embed security into day-to-day operations.
• Supporting incident response and continuously enhancing the security toolset.

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in Security Engineering or Security Architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience across cloud security (AWS/GCP), IAM (Entra ID), SIEM, Zero Trust and vulnerability management.
• Experience designing and delivering security improvements, not just operating existing controls.
• Comfortable influencing stakeholders and working autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with AI, automation and modern security tooling is highly desirable.
