A leading collaborative drug discovery company in the UK is seeking a Lead Scientist to manage a team focusing on drug discovery projects. The role requires a PhD or Master’s in a biological discipline and extensive experience in drug discovery and microscopy techniques. The successful candidate will oversee and direct projects, contributing to exciting pre-clinical drug discovery initiatives. This position offers a competitive salary of £58,000 - £65,000 and a permanent role with excellent benefits.

Our client is a leading company, offering research services to the Drug Discovery sector. They collaborate with lead researchers and organisations to enhance the understanding of immunological, oncological, neurological and other disease areas. They are offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hard‑working individual to join their Cellular Sciences Team as a Lead Scientist within advanced microscopy and molecular biology. If you have built an extensive career in drug discovery and are looking to work on exciting pre‑clinical and ex vivo drug discovery projects and want to further your career, then this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
This is a role for highly experienced scientists with many years’ experience in drug discovery. They will hold a PhD (or Master’s) in a biologically focused discipline and an extensive track record of leadership positions within drug discovery (industry preferred). This is a technical role where you will still spend some of your time at the bench, but you will be responsible for delivering and strategizing projects through to completion by managing a team of scientists.
