Job summary

EMAT is seeking a Lead Science Technician to provide technical leadership across the Science Department, ensuring laboratories are safe, well-equipped and prepared for engaging practical lessons. You will work closely with teaching staff to oversee practical activities and manage resources and systems that support excellent teaching and learning.

The role requires Level 2 English and Maths, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a scientific/technical discipline, and significant experience as a Science

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at Level 2 or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a scientific or technical discipline.
• Experience as a Science Technician with leadership experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety and lab management including safe handling of chemicals and biological materials.
• CLEAPSS training and/or IOSH qualification desirable.
• A commitment to safeguarding pupils.
