Job summary

SIPS Education Catering Services are seeking a Unit Catering Supervisor to ensure the smooth running of Bleakhouse Junior School kitchen during term time. The role focuses on fresh meals, quality service, cost control, and compliance with statutory requirements, with the chance to progress within a not-for-profit education catering provider.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in a quality catering environment, with specific experience in a special education setting.
• Excellent people skills, able to lead and develop a team.
• Passion about food and customer service.
• Knowledge and understanding of food allergens and special diets.
• Superb culinary skills.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen.
• High standards and be quality driven.
• Excellent organisational & communication skills.
• A "Can do" attitude.

Responsibilities

• Cooking meals from fresh ingredients in line with specific menu guidelines.
• Managing and motivating a Team.
• Undertake all administrative duties associated to the kitchen.
• Ensuring food Hygiene and Health and safety guidelines are adhered to.
