Job summary

Dorset Council Beaminster is seeking an experienced Cleaner in Charge to oversee our school cleaning team and ensure a clean, safe learning environment.

The role is part-time, 15 hours per week, worked 3.30-6.30pm Mon-Fri (43 weeks per year). Salary £10,045 per annum, pro rata with holidays.

You will lead by example, coordinate and manage the team, perform cleaning duties as required, and contribute to safeguarding and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a cleaning team in a school or similar environment.
• Ability to co-ordinate tasks and manage day-to-day cleaning operations.
• Commitment to hygiene, safety and safeguarding standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct the school cleaning team on a day-to-day basis.
• Lead by example by undertaking cleaning duties as required.
• Coordinate tasks to ensure the school remains clean, hygienic and safe for learning and activities.
• Be flexible in approach and contribute to the smooth running of the school support staff.
