Hamstel Infant School and Nursery, part of the MAT with Hamstel Junior School, invites a Lead Caretaker to oversee site operations in Southend-on-Sea. The role is 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with core hours 8:00am–4:00pm and occasional split shifts or after-hours duties as needed.

You will support maintenance across the infant and nursery site. The successful candidate will manage a team, coordinate with contractors, and ensure safety practices across facilities.

Qualificações

• Experience in building maintenance and caretaking.
• Valid driving license and access to own car.
• Good DIY skills across electrical, decorating, plumbing and carpentry.

Responsabilidades

• Lead daily activities of the site team and manage swimming pool operations.
• Maintain appearance and upkeep of MAT buildings and grounds.
• Liaise with contractors, tradesmen, students and staff.
• Ensure COSHH, manual handling and health and safety practices.
• General duties: cleaning, spillages, blockages, locking/unlocking sites.
