Lead SCADA Engineer

Lead Automation Engineer | Installation & Commissioning | SCADA | PLC £65,000 - £75,000 | £5600 car allowance | remote with client visit once a week

I am currently working with a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across the nuclear, oil & gas, renewables, and many more industries. With a global workforce focused on enhancing efficiency and implementing critical technology into these sites.

My client is growing rapidly in the automation space and is therefore looking for an experienced Lead Automation Installation, Commissioning and Test (ICT) Engineer to join their gas delivery team as a key member for their continued growth. The focus of this role is to help the team across key client engagements to meet cyber security requirements of the critical infrastructure of gas supply in the UK. The new control system you help to install will replace existing PLC, SCADA, and networking devices to remove legacy systems and help their clients through the IEC62443 process to verify and validate their systems during Front-End Engineering Design, implementation, and commissioning phases.

Responsibilities

• A minimum 5 years’ experience with integrated control systems
• Strong knowledge of automation systems testing specifications and documentation within a regulated industry environment, preferably gas.
• Extensive hands-on experience with PLCs and SCADA systems
• A good knowledge of control panels with electrical installation and instrumentation solutions.

• IOT and Edge Computing (NodeRed, MQTT, etc.)
