Senior Systems Engineer | Senior Controls Engineer | SCADA | PLC | £55,000 - £70,000 | Office 2-3 days a week

I am currently working with a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across the nuclear, oil & gas, renewables, and other industries. The company has a global workforce focused on enhancing efficiency and implementing critical technology into these sites. This is a full-time, permanent role based in the Portsmouth area.

My client is expanding rapidly in the automation space and is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with strong controls knowledge and experience with SCADA systems and PLCs. The role involves working on multiple projects, collaborating closely with the Lead Engineer, Lead Project Manager, and junior team members to deliver solutions for clients in critical infrastructure sectors.

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with integrated control systems
• Extensive hands-on experience with PLCs and SCADA systems
• Good knowledge of control panels, electrical installation, and instrumentation solutions

Nice to have

• IOT and Edge Computing (NodeRed, MQTT, etc.)
• Network design and configuration
• Cyber Security
