Job summary

Savantrecruitment is working with a leading organisation seeking an experienced Contract Test Manager to define and lead the SAP test strategy for a key technology programme on a 6-month contract. You will oversee SIT, UAT and regression testing and ensure integration with third-party platforms is robust and fit for release.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Test Manager or Senior Test Lead within SAP environments.
• Experience testing complex software solutions and third-party integrations.
• Demonstrable experience defining test strategies, governance frameworks and quality standards.
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of functional and non-functional testing, including resilience, system reliability, security, performance and compliance testing.
• Experience managing defects, test environments, quality risks and release readiness.
• Familiarity with test automation tools, frameworks and modern test management and reporting tools.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge suppliers and technical teams constructively.
• ISTQB/ISEB Foundation certification or an equivalent recognised software testing qualification.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, application development and systems integration.
• Experience testing connected services or software within the automotive industry would be advantageous.
• Experience working within a European or international business environment involving multiple suppliers would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Define and own test strategies, plans and governance frameworks across projects and releases.
• Lead UAT and regression testing, and validate SIT deliverables from external suppliers.
• Develop test schedules, resource plans, entry and exit criteria, and release-readiness recommendations.
• Oversee integration testing between SAP solutions and third-party platforms.
• Identify and challenge gaps in requirements, solution design and testability.
• Lead risk-based testing, including resilience scenarios covering system failures, recovery and service degradation.
• Manage defects, test environments, quality risks and test reporting.
• Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases and defects.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing practices, automation and reporting.
• Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders to embed quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.
