A prominent offshore services company is seeking a Lead SAP to coordinate commissioning activities for offshore wind projects, requiring strong management skills and relevant engineering experience. Rates: £900 - £950 Daily Rate Inside IR35 via Umbrella
Clearance: BPSS (DBS/DS, Financial Probity, Employment History) + Medical Questionnaire & Proof of Right to Work in the UK
The role involves the overall coordination, management, and execution of commissioning for mechanical and electrical systems at onshore and offshore substations and export cables, including commissioning onshore at assembly/construction sites. The key aspect is early engagement with the project team and EPC contractor to ensure a plan is agreed for onshore commissioning activities on the transmission assets aboard the platform pre-sailing. The offshore substation commissioning engineer will be a key interface. The position also covers array cabling responsibilities and may occasionally cover for the Commissioning Manager.
