Role Description

As a Lead Sales/Solutions Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our global product development teams, external customers, and the EU Sales team to understand challenges, provide technical expertise, and design integration solutions across Europe. The role involves working with product teams to prioritize feature development supporting customer adoption of our platforms, combining responsibilities in software, systems, integration, and data engineering. You will evaluate technological effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research, and investigations, and recommend improvements. You will work directly with our AVP of Sales and customers to ensure satisfaction and alignment with technical teams. Some travel within Europe and internationally will be required.

Responsibilities
  1. Conduct consultations with potential customers to understand their challenges and requirements.
  2. Provide technical guidance to external partners regarding platform capabilities and integrations.
  3. Design high-level architectural diagrams for API service connections and data exchange protocols.
  4. Support sales in qualifying leads, negotiations, and highlighting platform benefits.
  5. Ensure seamless platform adoption and communicate technical concepts effectively.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to customize solutions based on customer needs.
  7. Develop and deliver product demos to showcase platform benefits.
  8. Prepare proposals and ROI analyses to communicate value propositions.
  9. Maintain strong relationships with existing customers, providing ongoing support and identifying upselling opportunities.
  10. Develop and maintain automated test libraries to ensure software quality.
  11. Analyze and resolve complex platform issues, leveraging SOA principles.
  12. Stay informed of industry trends, competitor offerings, and best practices.
  13. Travel up to 20% within Europe and internationally.
Qualifications
  1. Advanced experience in enterprise application design and development.
  2. Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java, Node.js, or Spring Boot.
  3. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including migration scripts.
  4. Knowledge of design and architectural patterns.
  5. Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and microservices.
  6. Experience deploying solutions on cloud platforms like Azure or GCP, and using Docker or Kubernetes.
  7. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with diverse audiences.

Additional Information

Salary: Competitive

Location: Work From Home (UK-based), with occasional travel to our European HQ in Egham and Leeds office. International travel up to 20% required.
